The plant is applied externally in the form of poultice from the leaves and the flowers for the treatment of skin inflammations, insect bites, abscesses, bruises, burns, dermatitis, swellings, various ulcers. The leaves and flowers are used against diseases of the respiratory such as dry coughs, bronchitis to relieve inflammation of the throat, pharynx and larynx.

Also, it is recommended against diseases of the respiratory and digestive system, such as cough, bronchitis, constipation and gastroenteritis. [1]

The extracts of M. sylvestris leaves and flowers are used to treat inflammatory diseases of mucous membranes, cystitis, and diarrhea. [2]

Fiber plants are responsible for producing and secreting collagen. Protein collagens are a central extracellular matrix, which leads to an increase in the ability of wound edges to bind to each other. [3]
